Chris retired from the fire service after 29 years of volunteer service and served as a city/county emergency management director for the last 6 years. During his career, Chris served as firefighter, safety officer, training officer, and completed his career as Chief over two volunteer departments. In these roles Chris developed training, workshops and exercises for atypical responses. These included wide-area search, active assailants, long-term care evacuation, reunification, and points of distribution. This program was replicated in numerous jurisdictions. With the pandemic, these techniques were used in real world cases for food distribution, vaccine clinics and testing events.
