The fall meeting is two-and-a-half day conference that includes committee meetings, organizational and industry updates, and social networking activities. Presentations include a railroad incident management panel discussion and on the importance of embracing the need of mental health. There will be a group Thursday dinner and the running of the annual NVFC Health & Safety Fund auction.
The schedule of activities and meetings changes periodically and some committee work will be taking place virtually ahead of the meeting.

Group baseball tickets can be obtained for meeting attendees (15 person minimum) to see the KC Royals play the San Francisco Giants. This is an optional event with participants responsible for getting to the ballpark and tickets. Section 236-238 $65. Section 138 $90. Tickets are nonrefundable.

The Firefighters Association of the State of Missouri Women's Auxiliary and the Kansas State Firefighters Association are assisting and coordinating a partner/non-meeting guest program.
Thursday (10am - 2pm) - Arabia Steamboat Museum is a popular site to visit. When the mighty Steamboat Arabia sank near Kansas City on September 5, 1856, she carried 200 tons of mystery cargo. Lost for 132 years, its recovery in 1988 was like finding the King Tut’s Tomb of the Missouri River. The discovery was truly a modern-day treasure-hunting story at its best.

Friday (10am - 2pm) - Union Station is Kansas City’s most celebrated destination boasting over 100 years of iconic history and year-round attractions for all ages. There are numerous destinations inside where you can visit the internationally awarded Science City, Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium, or their current touring exhibitions. There’s always something new to see and do at this family-friendly favorite!
You'll have opportunity to explore the different exhibitions and choose a restaurant of your choice for lunch. Museum fee(s) and lunch are covered by the participant.
