This presentation involves a careful examination of behavioral health awareness for Wildland Firefighters with an emphasis on understanding emotional and physical stressors, communication skills, addictions, depression, PTSD, suicide statistics, retirement and Moral Injury. Wildland Firefighters face issues that are specifically challenging that structural FF's don't see. FBHA has been tracking and validating FF, EMS and Dispatcher suicides in the U.S. since 2010.
