James Kirsch, MPA, EFO, retired as a captain from the Bergenfield (NJ) Fire Department and he is a former volunteer chief and a current member of the NVFC. He is a State of New Jersey-certified drill ground
instructor, incident manager, and fire prevention official. He has authored articles for Fire Engineering, co-authored the Fire Engineering's Study Guide for Firefighter
I and II, and created the DVD Live Fire Training in Acquired Structures. He has presented at conferences for the NVFC, Firehouse Expo, and the Fire Department Instructor's Conference.
