This course will cover key topics as they relate to Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, including personal transportation, e.g. scooters and electric bicycles. The course will cover conducting risk assessments; pre-planning for incidents; the need for SOPs/SOGs; key hazards; standards & codes; vehicle components; voltages; approaches; suppression actions; impact on "Quick Clearance"; and much more. Students will learn key strategies and tactics for dealing with incidents - fire and non-fire - involving these types of vehicles. Students will be provided sample SOPs/SOGs that they can take back and use within their organizations. Specific case studies will be used to stress learning objectives. *PLEASE NOTE: Session includes a hands-on component  in the front hotel driveway on Saturday, June 24, from 7-8am. No gear needed.
