Chief (ret.) Joseph Maruca spent 45 years in the volunteer fire service, with twenty of them as Chief of the West Barnstable (MA) Fire Department. He is a state director of the NVFC. Joe achieved Chief Fire Officer (CFO) designation from the Center for Public Safety Excellent and is a certified Fire Instructor II. He is an attorney (New England School of Law) and a graduate of the Boston University School of Management.
