Douglas Cline, Chief of Professional Development with Horry County Fire Rescue, a Combination Metro Department with 750 Fire and Emergency Medical personnel serving a resort destination. He is the producer of the Fire Engineering Video Blog/Blog Talk Radio show “Fire and Training,” Executive Direction of the National Fire Academy Alumni Association, and Past President with the International Society of Fire Service Instructors. A 46 - year fire and emergency services student, as well as a well-known international speaker and instructor presenting dynamic power-packed/high-intensity programs, Doug is also a high published author of articles, videos, books and blogs for both fire and EMS. As a Chief Officer, he is a distinguished authority on Leadership, Officer Development, and has traveled internationally delivering distinguished programs on these topics. In 1999, Doug was honored with being awarded the prestigious George D. Post Instructor of the Year. Cline holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services and Education from Concord University.
