Jason Read brings more than 34 years of service in Fire-Rescue and EMS, including 14 years as Chief of EMS with two agencies and 12 years as a 911 dispatcher at New Jersey's largest public-private communications center. A 9/11 World Trade Center responder, he served on the New Jersey command staff at Liberty State Park and later worked with the Joint Terrorism Task Force, including assignments in West Africa and with Five Eyes partners. He is also a three-time Olympian in rowing, a 2004 Olympic gold medalist and record holder, a 14-time U.S. National Team member, and a Team USA flag bearer at the 2011 Pan American Games. His writing has appeared in Sports Illustrated, The Economist, and The Wall Street Journal. He holds degrees in Economics and Finance and Homeland Security, completed executive leadership studies at Oxford University's Saïd School of Business, and is a lifetime member of the IAFC.
