Jesse Slaughter is the Assistant Chief of Granbury VFD and a long-time business owner. He started in the fire service in 1999 in Brady, Texas, where he rose through the ranks. He also served 15+ years as the president of the department. Jesse moved to Granbury VFD and quickly advanced through several roles to be the current Assistant Chief. He holds numerous certifications including Master FF and Master Instructor. He is also the cohost of the 'It Tastes like Burning' podcast. Jesse team-teaches the fire department marketing class for SFFMA with Kim Hilsenbeck.
