Speaker: Carlton Brinda, Remote Operations Control Center Team Lead

Carlton Brinda is the Control Center Lead at the AES Corporation, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. A retired U.S. Navy veteran with 24 years of service, Carlton’s service in the U.S. Navy included duty as the Chief Electrician qualified in the operation and maintenance of the nuclear power plant, electrical plant and propulsion plant onboard U.S. submarines. He transitioned into the clean energy sector in 2021, bringing with him a deep commitment to operational excellence and team collaboration. At AES, he leads the Remote Operations Control Center (ROCC), where he plays a pivotal role in coordinating across multiple teams to ensure seamless and safe energy operations. Carlton is also known for his leadership in veteran outreach initiatives, including organizing Clean Energy Career Fairs for Veterans and contributing to AES’s technical hiring campaigns.
